She's back!!!!

Although I have enjoyed the last few books; there seemed to be something missing. But not today!! This book was delightful and contained the depth and romance that seemed to be missing in previous novels. This book reminds me of why I got hooked on the Dark Hunters series all those years ago. The last few books were okay; but this book was great.

A great start to new series

I have read everyone of the Darkhunter series and became attached. So I'm thrilled that Sherrilyn has taken two of them mysterious characters Thorn and Jaden into a series where we just might learn more about them. Book one Focuses on Devyl Bane and crew of "Deadmen". I was so happy to know they're pirates! I highly recommend this new spin-off of her Darkhunters. I can't wait to read the next.

I really enjoyed this book in the new series

I really enjoyed this book in the new series. I did not read the dust jacket before delving into the book, so I had initially thought it would be about Cameron Jack and Devyl Bane. Having Cameron as an opening character was misleading in that regard. I loved the pirate theme of this and the unusual crew. Sherrilyn excels at building interesting individuals to spin other stories from. I admit some of Devyl's racial background got confusing here and there toward the end of the book--thus 4 rather than 5 stars. I recommend this one for the atmospheric flavor alone.
