I really enjoyed this book!

I really enjoyed this book. This is primarily because I enjoyed the fun and light-heartedness of Frank DeMarco's guides (who he calls "TGU" or "the guys upstairs") as they carried on a very detailed and disclosing conversation about them, us, physical / non-physical reality, the afterlife and related topics. In working with my own non-physical guidance (who I began meeting in out of body experiences beginning in 2015), I have many times experienced the same light-heartedness and fun. So, the attraction to this book and its content was/is strong for me.
Rita Warren, a control booth facilitator at the Monroe Institute for several years in the 1980's and a friend of DeMarco, is the person asking his guides questions. About once a week in Rita's home and over several months, these sessions were originally conducted in 2001 to 2002. This presents an interesting "time gap", as the book was eventually published (2009) after the transition of Rita Warren (2008). Also, worth noting is that this book precedes the author's second book with TGU, The Cosmic Internet, which was published in 2012.
Individually, I read this book (Sphere & Hologram) in 2017 after reading Rita's World I and II last year (published in 2015 to 2016). So, sometimes I felt like I was going backwards (at times) as I was reading this book. This is because in Rita's World (where Rita has already transitioned), she and DeMarco update many of their perceptions from 2001 to 2002. This is why I personally consider the time gap an interesting element, as their are updates and expansions in the later books with Rita (after her transition) but sometimes the changes are due to Rita's (now) non-physical perspective. These things keep the reader on their toes.
Overall though, I have found this book (Sphere & Hologram) helpful for working with my own guidance. And ... if you are someone (like myself) who is focused upon working with your non-physical guides, then I can highly recommend this book to you. Frank DeMarco, as an author and non-physical communicator, is humble, straight forward and articulate. He writes all his books with an underlying message that "any of us can communicate with the non-physical aspects supporting us". And, in following his suggestions, I have found this to be true myself.

Thought-Provoking and Carefully Documented Channelled Material on the Nature of the Self

This book is the result of a collaboration between Frank DeMarco and the late Rita Warren, for many years a facilitator at the Monroe Institute after her retirement as an academic psychologist. She asked the questions, DeMarco channelled "The Gentlemen Upstairs" as he refers to his contact on the Other Side, and the sessions were recorded and transcribed. The material is on the nature of the self, primarily, with TGU attempting to explain the connection between our individual selves Here--as it seems to us--and a much more complex self/selves There. There is much to provoke thought and extended reflection in what's given.
My only reservation--as with the Seth material--is the repetitive nature of much of the content. Hard to avoid, as DeMarco chose, wisely I think, to present the material as received. But it does make for less gripping reading after a while, and, as with the Seth material, there seems less delivered than TGU intended. Sometimes it seems they got a bit sidetracked or distracted. Warren, too, asks less probing questions than I'd have like. She's caught up in each session, it seems to me, to the point that she loses her way a bit, and doesn't keep TGU on topic--or move them to a new one when they've pretty much exhausted the current one--as much as I'd have liked. But, overall, an interesting and worthwhile book.

With all due respect, for very open minded readers

I am enjoying reading this book from Franck De Marco. With all due respect for people who will read this review, this is not a book for everybody. I would advise potential readers to start with the books written by Bob Monroe to better understand the context of this one. For many, a conversation with Higher Beings will appear as either a fantasy or very real. If you think this is fantasy, you will probably drop this book quite quickly. Your initial beliefs system, personal values and understanding of your personal journey in this life will make a big difference in determining your potential openness to the concepts developed during the sessions that Franck and Rita have had with the Guys Upstairs. If you are not presently satisfied by the belief systems most prevalent right now in society, this book is for you. You will find fuel and inspiration to look at who you are in a very different way. Enjoy the reading !
